First breath of winter
caresses morning landscape
with icy silence.

I love the top photograph.
Just beautiful, words and photographs.
The contrasting textures of the two photos is wonderful. Soft, cool mist to crisp and crunchy frost. There’s something about a morning in autumn.
Helen – Aw, thanks. That’s pretty much what I see from my bedroom window!
Sheepish, sometimes the world is sooooo still and silent. It reminded me of a Nativity scene?
Stephanie – Crunchy mornings are the best, aren’t they? I never fail to be fascinated by the change in seasons.
This post made me shiver. Not a very inventive response I know, but you obviously speak to the human condition!
Blumming heck, Maltby. You talk lots about wanting to write but never mention your photography. I just can’t believe how much you underplay it.
These pictures are just amazing, beautiful.
Why aren’t we all making a fuss? A fuss should be made.
I’m a bit stunned. X
